What is Our Skeleton?
Our bones come together to make something called a skeleton. Think of a skeleton like a sturdy framework, like the frame of a house. It helps to support our body, just like walls support a house!
What Does the Skeleton Do?
- Supports Us: The skeleton helps us stand up straight and keep our shape.
- Protects Our Organs: Inside our body, we have important parts, like our heart and lungs. The skeleton protects these organs like a shield.
What Are Muscles?
On top of our skeleton, we have muscles. Muscles are soft and stretchy, kind of like elastic bands!
What Do Muscles Do?
- Help Us Move: When we want to run, jump, or play, our muscles help us do that!
- Help Us Stand: Muscles work with our bones to keep us upright when we stand.
- Help Us Laugh: Yes, muscles even help us smile and laugh! When we giggle or grin, those are our muscles working.
Wrapping it Up
So, our skeleton is like the sturdy framework of our body, and our muscles are the stretchy helpers that let us move and express ourselves. Together, they keep us strong and allow us to play and have fun!
