Bear Walk Exercise for Kids
Today, we're going to have some fun with a special way to move called a bear walk! This exercise helps you use your arms and legs while learning about directions like left and right.
What is a Bear Walk?
A bear walk is when you walk on your hands and feet, like a bear! Let's learn how to do it step by step:
Step 1: Get Ready!
- Stand up straight with your feet together.
- Bend down and put your hands on the ground in front of you.
Step 2: Position Your Body
- Spread your legs a little wider than your hands.
- Keep your back straight like a bear!
Step 3: Start Walking!
Now let’s walk like a bear!
- First, move your left hand forward, and then your right foot.
- Next, move your right hand forward, and then your left foot.
- Keep doing this to move forward!
Step 4: Change Directions!
Now that you are good at walking, let’s have even more fun!
- Try to walk to the left by moving your left hand and then your left foot to go left.
- To walk to the right, move your right hand and then your right foot.
Step 5: Keep Moving!
