What Covers Most of Our Planet?

Hi there! Let’s talk about our big, beautiful planet Earth.

If you look at a globe or a map of the world, you’ll see that a lot of it is blue. This blue part is the oceans, which are huge bodies of water. In fact, about 71% of the Earth is covered with water!

And what about the rest? Well, the 29% that’s not blue is land. This is where we find countries, cities, forests, and mountains.

So, to sum it up: most of our planet is covered with water, and that’s one reason why it’s so important. Water is needed for all living things, including you and me! Isn’t that cool?
