Why Is Our Planet Blue?
Have you ever looked at a picture of Earth from space? It looks blue, doesn't it? That’s because a lot of our planet is covered with water!

Earth is like a giant ball, and it has lots of water on it. Most of this water is in the oceans, which are very big and take up a lot of space.

There are also lakes and rivers on Earth that have water in them. Even though they are smaller than oceans, they still make Earth look blue.
