Connecting Two Pipes
When you have two pipes that are the same size and you want to connect them together, you use a special part called a coupling. A coupling is like a little tube that fits over the ends of both pipes to join them.
How Does It Work?
- Find the Pipes: First, make sure both pipes are the same size. This is important!
- Choose the Right Coupling: Pick a coupling that fits perfectly over the ends of the two pipes.
- Attach the Coupling: Slide the coupling onto the end of one pipe, then slide the other pipe into the other end of the coupling.
- Secure It: If needed, you can use glue or clamps to make sure the coupling stays tight and doesn’t leak.
Why Use a Coupling?
A coupling is very useful because it helps join pipes easily and makes sure that water or gas can flow smoothly from one pipe to the other.
So, whenever you need to connect two pipes of the same diameter, remember that a coupling is the right piece to use!
