Shapes Around Us: Rings, Pyramids, and Triangles!

Hello there! Today, we are going to learn about some shapes, and how they can look very different in different ways!

1. What is a Ring?

A ring is a round shape, just like a circle. Just like when you wear a ring on your finger, it goes in a circle!

2. Stacking Rings

Now, when we take a few rings and stack them on top of each other, they start to look like a pyramid. A pyramid is a shape that has a square base and four triangular sides that come together at the top. So when you see rings in a pile, they can look like a little pyramid if you have them a little tilted!

3. Making an Outline

If we try to make an outline of this pyramid shape with the rings, we can see that we can draw a triangle. A triangle has three sides and three corners. If we imagine the base of the stack of rings as the bottom of the triangle, and then imagine the tip of the stack pointing to the top of the triangle, we can see how it connects!

4. What Did We Learn?

So, we learned that rings are round, and when they are stacked, they can look like a pyramid! Also, when we outline that pyramid, we can see a triangle! Isn’t that fun? You can look for shapes like this in your toys or around your house!
