What is Dew?
Okay, kiddo! Let’s talk about something magical that happens at night called dew! 🌙✨
Step 1: The Sun Goes Down
When the sun sets and goes to bed, it gets dark and the air starts to cool down. Just like when you take a warm bath and then come out to a cooler room, the air outside cools off too!
Step 2: The Cool Air
As the air gets cooler, it doesn’t hold as much water. Water is all around us, even in the air, but when it cools down, it turns into tiny droplets. Imagine when you breathe on a cold window and see your breath make little spots on it – that’s a bit like dew!
Step 3: Little Droplets Form
At night, when the air gets cool, those water droplets collect on grass, leaves, and even on cars. They look shiny and fresh, like little diamonds or stars on the ground! ✨🌿
Step 4: Morning Surprise!
When the morning comes, and the sun wakes up, the dew starts to disappear as the sun heats everything back up again. It’s like the dew had a fun sleepover, but now it’s time to go home!
So, next time you see the grass all wet in the morning, remember, it’s just the dew having a party while we were all sleeping! ☁️💧
