Change and continuity in your community means that things in your neighborhood can sometimes stay the same, but they can also change over time. It's like when your favorite park gets a new swing set – that's a change. But you still play there with your friends, which is something that stays the same.

Imagine if your school is always the place you go to learn, but new teachers come and go, and you move on to different grade levels. That's how things can stay the same (like learning) while also changing (new teachers and grades).

Another example is when the grocery store in your neighborhood remodels and gets new shelves, but they still sell your favorite snacks. The store looks different, but you can still buy the things you love.

Change and continuity help us see how things evolve and grow, but also how some things remain constant to give us a sense of familiarity and comfort in our community.

So, even when things in your neighborhood may look different at times, there will always be elements that remind you of home and make you feel connected to your community.
