What are Seasons?

Hi there! Do you know that the year has different parts called seasons? There are four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall (or autumn). The world changes in each season with the weather, plants, and animals.

Spring.

Spring is a lovely time of year. It usually happens after winter when everything looks cold and snowy. In spring, the weather starts to get warmer, and flowers begin to bloom. Animals come out of their homes, and everything looks fresh and lively!

What Happens Next?

After spring comes summer! Summer is even warmer than spring. It’s a time when we can play outside, eat ice cream, go to the beach, and have fun in the sun. The days are longer, and it feels nice to spend time outdoors.

Why Does Spring Change to Summer?

The Earth moves around the sun, and as it does, different parts of the world get more sunlight. In spring, we start to get more sunlight, and as it keeps warming up, we move into summer!

Activities for You!

Here’s something you can do: look outside your window and see what changes there are as we move from spring to summer. You might see more flowers growing and hear kids playing outside. It’s all a part of the seasons changing!

Now you know that after spring comes summer, and that’s when we get to enjoy lots of sunny days!
