Understanding Seasons
Hello! Today we're going to learn about the four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and autumn!
What are Seasons?
A season is a part of the year that has different kinds of weather. Each season can bring different temperatures, plants, and even fun activities!
What is Autumn?
Autumn, also known as fall, is the season that comes after summer. In autumn, the leaves on trees change color to beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow. Some trees lose their leaves during this time. It can get a bit chilly, and we often wear sweaters.
What is Spring?
Spring is the season that follows winter and comes after autumn. During spring, the weather starts to warm up! Flowers bloom, and trees grow their leaves back again. Animals come out of their winter homes, and everything feels fresh and new!
How Seasons Change
The changing of seasons happens because of how the Earth orbits or travels around the Sun. As the Earth moves, different parts of it get more or less sunlight which creates the seasons! So, after autumn where we might have fallen leaves, spring will show us blooming flowers.
Why is it Important?
Understanding the seasons helps us know what kinds of clothes to wear, what activities we can do, and how nature changes around us. So, after enjoying the lovely colors of autumn, we can look forward to the beauty of spring!
Fun Fact!
Did you know? In spring, many baby animals are born, like chicks and bunnies! So, looking forward to spring means seeing new life around us!
Now you know that autumn is followed by spring, and you can enjoy each season for what it brings!
