How Babies Are Made
Babies come from a special process that happens inside a woman's body. Here’s how it generally works, explained step by step:
- Mom and Dad: Every baby starts from a mom and a dad. The dad has tiny cells called sperm, and the mom has an egg.
- Joining Together: When the dad's sperm joins with the mom's egg, this creates a small baby. This part usually happens when a mom and dad specially decide to create a baby together.
- Growing in the Belly: After the sperm and egg join, the tiny baby starts to grow in the mom's belly in a special place called the uterus. The baby needs time to grow, and this can take about nine months!
- The Baby is Born: When the baby is ready, the mom goes to the hospital, and the doctors help her. Then, the baby comes out into the world!
It’s important to know that making a baby is something adults plan for and take care of. And once a baby is born, they are loved and taken care of by their family!
