What is a Paramedic?

A paramedic is a very special helper who takes care of people when they are hurt or sick. Think of them like superheroes in an ambulance!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Ride in an Ambulance: If someone is in trouble, like if they fell down and can’t get up, a paramedic comes really quickly in an ambulance, which is a big car that helps people.
  2. Help People Feel Better: When they get to the person who needs help, paramedics have special tools and medicine. They check how the person feels and do things to help them get better.
  3. Take to the Hospital: If someone needs more help, paramedics make sure they get safely to a hospital where doctors can help them more.
  4. Work as a Team: Paramedics often work together with other helpers, like police and firefighters, because they all want to keep people safe.

So, just like a doctor, a paramedic helps people, but they do it right away and in special cars called ambulances!
