What is a Paramedic?
A paramedic is a very special helper who takes care of people when they are hurt or sick. Think of them like superheroes in an ambulance!
Here’s how it works:
- Ride in an Ambulance: If someone is in trouble, like if they fell down and can’t get up, a paramedic comes really quickly in an ambulance, which is a big car that helps people.
- Help People Feel Better: When they get to the person who needs help, paramedics have special tools and medicine. They check how the person feels and do things to help them get better.
- Take to the Hospital: If someone needs more help, paramedics make sure they get safely to a hospital where doctors can help them more.
- Work as a Team: Paramedics often work together with other helpers, like police and firefighters, because they all want to keep people safe.
So, just like a doctor, a paramedic helps people, but they do it right away and in special cars called ambulances!
