What is a Conductor?

A conductor is something that helps electricity move from one place to another. It’s like a slide for electricity!

Imagine you have a toy that needs batteries to work. The batteries give the toy energy. The wires that connect the batteries to the toy are made of metal and help the electricity travel. That metal is called a conductor!

Some things can be conductors, like:

  • Metal: Like spoons or coins.
  • Water: Water can help electricity move, too!

But some things cannot help electricity move, like rubber, wood, or plastic. Those are called insulators because they keep electricity from moving.

So, the next time you see a wire or play with a metal spoon, remember it’s helping electricity move like a slide!
