What is a Silkworm?

A silkworm is a small caterpillar that can be found in gardens and fields. These little creatures are very special because they help to make silk, which is a soft and shiny fabric!

Life Cycle of a Silkworm

Silkworms are very important because they produce silk. People use silk to make clothes, blankets, and many other things. Silk feels nice and smooth against our skin, and it's very beautiful!
