Kamala Harris is an important person in American history. She became the first woman, and the first woman of Black and South Asian descent, to be Vice President of the United States. One reason she achieved this amazing goal is that she was inspired by the success of others.

When we say someone is 'inspired by the success of others,' it means that they look up to people who have done great things and learn from them. For example, Kamala Harris admired her mother, who worked hard as a doctor, and also looked up to leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and other strong women who fought for justice.

Kamala Harris saw what those people could achieve and wanted to make a difference too. She worked very hard in school and eventually went to college and law school. Her journey shows us that we can be motivated by others' achievements to chase our dreams.

So, being inspired by others means seeing what they have done and thinking, 'If they can do it, so can I!' Just like Kamala Harris, we can all learn from those who came before us and use that inspiration to reach for our goals. Remember, every time you look up to someone, you’re taking a step closer to achieving your own dreams!
