What is Bee Pollination?
Bee pollination is how bees help flowers and plants grow! When bees fly from flower to flower, they carry tiny dust called pollen. This is a very important job because:
- Flowers need pollen to make new seeds.
- Seeds are what grow into new plants and fruits!
How Do Bees Pollinate?
Here’s how it works:
- Bees see bright flowers and land on them.
- While the bee is on the flower getting sweet juice called nectar, it collects pollen on its body.
- Then, the bee flies to another flower.
- As the bee moves to the next flower, some of the pollen from the first flower rubs off onto the second flower.
- This helps the second flower grow seeds!
Why Are Bees Important?
Bees are important because:
- They help flowers grow, which makes our world beautiful.
- Many fruits and vegetables, like apples and cucumbers, need bees to help them grow.
Fun Activity!
Next time you see a bee, you can watch how it goes from flower to flower. You can even pretend to be a bee by flying and buzzing with your arms out!
Remember, bees are our friends because they help plants grow!
