What is Global Warming?
Global warming is when the Earth gets warmer over a long time. It’s like when you wear a lot of blankets and get really warm! But instead of blankets, the Earth has something called gases that can trap heat. These gases are called greenhouse gases.
How Does It Happen?
There are many ways the greenhouse gases are made. Some of the main ways are:
- Cars: When people drive cars, they produce smoke that goes up into the air.
- Factories: Factories make products and they can also release harmful gases into the air.
- Farming: Some farming practices can create gases that heat up the Earth too.
Why Is It Important?
Global warming is important because it can change our weather, like making it hotter, or causing storms and heavier rainfall. This can affect animals and plants that live in the world.
What Can We Do?
There are things we can do to help stop global warming:
- Plant Trees: Trees help clean the air!
- Ride Bicycles: Riding a bike instead of a car helps keep the air clean.
- Save Energy: Turning off lights when we don’t need them saves energy!
In simple words, global warming means our Earth is getting hotter because of some things we do, but together we can help keep it healthy.
