Once upon a time in the sunny savannah, there lived a gentle elephant named Ella. Ella was a bright pink elephant with big floppy ears and a heart as big as her ears. She loved to play, splash in puddles, and munch on juicy leaves from the tallest trees. But there was one thing that made her a little grumpy—her baby brother, Benny.
Benny was a tiny little elephant, grey and wobbly on his short legs. He adored his big sister and wanted nothing more than to play with her. But every time Benny got excited and wanted to join Ella, she would often stomp her feet and say, “Benny, you’re bothering me! Go play somewhere else!”
One sunny afternoon, Ella was busy gathering flowers to make a beautiful crown for herself. Benny bounced over with a big grin, “Ella! Can I help you?” He reached out to grab a flower, but Ella puffed out her cheeks and swatted her trunk in the air, “No, Benny! This is my special time!”
Benny’s tiny ears drooped, and he slowly trotted away to find something else to do. It made Ella’s heart feel funny to see her little brother sad, but she really wanted to finish making her crown.
As she tied the last flower into her crown, a gust of wind swept through the savannah, and whoosh! the crown flew off her head and landed right in a muddy puddle! Ella gasped and stomped her feet in frustration, leaving little mud splatters everywhere.
Just then, she heard a soft giggle. Benny had been watching all along! “Look, Ella! Your crown is swimming!” he chirped, trying to make her laugh. But instead of giggling, Ella squeaked, “That’s not funny, Benny! I can’t wear a muddy crown!”
Benny furrowed his little brow and said, “I can help you, Ella!” He jumped into the puddle with a big splash, sending mud everywhere! Ella couldn’t believe her eyes. “Benny! What are you doing?”
But then, something unexpected happened. Benny began to float the flowers back to Ella, one by one, while making silly faces and dancing in the puddle. Ella watched, her frown slowly disappearing as she started to giggle at her silly little brother.
“Benny!” she laughed, “You’re so muddy!” Tossing her own flowers into the air, Ella splashed into the puddle beside him. They both danced and played, laughing and creating a big mess together.
When they were done, they were both muddy from head to toe, but Ella didn’t care. She realized that playing with Benny was much more fun than being grumpy. In that moment, she learned that it was okay to share her time and that sometimes, being nice meant being silly and joyful together.
From that day on, whenever Benny wanted to play, Ella would smile and say, “Let’s have fun together!” And every time they played, their laughter echoed across the savannah.
And so, Ella the elephant learned that being nice to her little brother made her happier than any crown ever could. Together, they became the best of friends, splashing in puddles and making joyful memories that would last forever.
The end.
