The Advanced Reading Course (ARC) is a live, online reading course for grades 3-8 that teaches advanced reading comprehension skills.
The Advanced Reading Course (ARC) is a live, online reading course for grades 3-8 that teaches advanced reading comprehension skills. Students learn how to annotate a passage, track the plot of a story, support their answers with the best evidence, and understand the characters.
ARC is typically offered as an 8-week course meeting one hour per week with up to six students per group. Two-week Summer and Winter Intensive Camps are also available.
The course is taught by David Marrufo, MA, who holds a BA in English, Highest Honors, from UC Berkeley and an MA in philosophy from San Francisco State University.
