Urban Green Harvest Farm School is an outdoor, nature-based learning program for children ages 4–12 on a working city farm in West Boise, Idaho. We offer preschool, homeschool enrichment, School Days Off, and seasonal camps where children learn through real work, meaningful experiences, and plenty of time outdoors.
Rather than recreating a traditional classroom outside, the farm itself becomes the learning environment. Children garden, care for animals, harvest food, cook from scratch, explore nature, build practical life skills, and participate in the everyday rhythms of a working farm. These experiences naturally weave together science, math, literacy, problem-solving, creativity, responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
Our approach supports the whole child, with room for physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development alongside unstructured outdoor play, curiosity, relationships, and authentic childhood experiences.
