Before starting the lesson, make sure the student is familiar with basic cutting and coloring skills.
Activities
- Create Valentine's Day Cards: Show the student how to fold a piece of construction paper in half to make a card. Encourage them to decorate the front with markers, stickers, or any other materials they like. Help them write a simple message inside the card, such as "Happy Valentine's Day!"
- Cut Heart Shapes: Provide the student with different colored construction paper and show them how to cut out heart shapes. They can make as many hearts as they want and use them to decorate their cards or create a Valentine's Day collage.
- Valentine's Day Coloring: Print out Valentine's Day-themed coloring pages and let the student color them using markers or crayons. Encourage them to use different colors and be creative.
