  • Math Activity: Use the measuring cup to measure the quantity of each fruit you will include in your salad. Write down the measurements and add them up to find the total amount of fruit you have.

  • Science Activity: Research the nutritional benefits of the fruits you have chosen for your salad. Write down at least three benefits for each fruit and share them with your family.

  • Practical Activity: Wash and cut the fruits into bite-sized pieces. Mix them together in the bowl or plate to create your fruit salad. Serve it to your family and enjoy!

Talking Points

  • When making a fruit salad, it's important to choose a variety of fruits to make it colorful and flavorful. Remember, the more colors, the better!

  • Spelling the names of the fruits correctly will help you communicate effectively in writing. For example, "banana" is spelled B-A-N-A-N-A.

  • Measuring the quantity of each fruit will ensure that you have enough for your salad. Use the measuring cup to be precise.

  • Researching the nutritional benefits of fruits will help you understand how they contribute to a healthy diet. For example, strawberries are high in vitamin C, which helps boost your immune system.

  • Washing the fruits before cutting them is important to remove any dirt or pesticides. Always ask an adult for help when using a sharp knife.

  • Mixing the fruits together will allow their flavors to blend, creating a tasty fruit salad. Use a spoon to gently mix them without squishing the fruits.

  • Serving the fruit salad to your family will make them happy and proud of your efforts. Enjoy this healthy and delicious treat together!
