Activities

  • Create a Cave Painting: Use the construction paper, crayons or markers, and scissors to create your own cave painting. Research some Stone Age cave paintings online for inspiration.
  • Build a Stone Age Shelter: Use your imagination and household items like blankets, pillows, and chairs to build a Stone Age shelter. Pretend you are a Stone Age person seeking shelter from the elements.
  • Make a Stone Age Necklace: Collect small rocks or pebbles from your backyard or a nearby park. Use string or yarn to thread the rocks together and create a unique Stone Age necklace.

  • The Stone Age was a very long time ago. People during the Stone Age didn't have the technology and tools that we have today. They had to use what they found in nature to survive.
  • Stone Age people lived in caves. They used caves as shelter to protect themselves from the weather and dangerous animals.
