Activities
Create an African animal collage:
Print out pictures of African animals and landmarks. Cut them out and glue them onto a piece of paper to create a collage. Color the animals and landmarks.
Locate Africa on a world map:
Using a world map or globe, find the continent of Africa. Point to it and say, "This is Africa. It is a continent made up of many countries and is known for its diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes."
Learn about African animals:
Show pictures of different African animals and talk about their characteristics. For example, you can say, "Lions are big cats that live in Africa. They have a loud roar and are known as the kings of the jungle."
Color an African flag:
Print out a coloring page of an African flag. Color it using the correct colors. Discuss the meaning of the colors on the flag, such as green representing nature and yellow representing sunshine.
