  • Activity 1: Introduction to Woodwork

    Teach the student about the importance of safety in woodwork. Demonstrate the proper use of safety goggles and explain how to handle tools safely.
  • Activity 3: Measuring and Marking
    Show the student how to use a measuring tape and mark the wood accurately. Explain the significance of precise measurements in woodworking.
  • Activity 4: Cutting the Wood
    Demonstrate how to safely use a saw to cut the wooden board according to the marked measurements. Encourage the student to try cutting a small piece under your supervision.
  • Activity 5: Sanding and Smoothing
    Explain the importance of sanding the wood to achieve a smooth finish. Show the student how to use sandpaper to remove rough edges and make the surface even.
  • Activity 6: Assembly and Gluing
    Guide the student in assembling the cut pieces together using wood glue. Demonstrate the proper application of glue and holding the pieces firmly until the glue dries.
  • Activity 7: Finishing Touches
    Discuss different finishing techniques such as staining, painting, or varnishing. Let the student choose their preferred method to complete their woodworking project.
