Materials and Prep

  • Cones or markers
  • Open space or a field
  • Comfortable clothing and footwear

Before starting this lesson, it would be helpful if you have a basic understanding of football rules and techniques.

Activities

  1. Warm-up: Start with a light jog around the field to get your muscles warmed up.

  2. Dribbling Drills: Set up a course using cones and practice dribbling the ball through them. Challenge yourself by increasing the speed or adding obstacles.

  3. Passing Practice: Find a partner or a wall and practice passing the ball back and forth. Focus on accuracy and control.

  4. Shooting Drills: Set up a target or use an empty goalpost and practice shooting the ball towards it. Work on your aim and power.

  5. Agility Exercises: Incorporate agility exercises like ladder drills, shuttle runs, or cone drills to improve your speed and footwork.
