Talking Points
"Shrove Tuesday is a special day when people eat pancakes. Yum!"
"Pancakes are flat and round, just like the sun or a circle. Can you draw a circle pancake?"
"Sometimes people toss pancakes in the air and try to catch them. Let's try tossing this toy and see if we can land it on the pancake."
"Pretend play time! Let's use our imagination and pretend we are making pancakes in the kitchen. What ingredients do we need?"
"Pancakes are yummy to eat, and they help people get ready for a special time called Lent. Lent is when people give up something they enjoy for a little while."
