Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and name different objects and characters in Minecraft, as well as practice basic English vocabulary and sentence formation.
Materials and Prep
- A computer or tablet with Minecraft installed
- Printed pictures of common Minecraft objects and characters
- A notebook and crayons
Activities
- Activity 1: Minecraft Picture Matching Game
Show the student a printed picture of a Minecraft object or character and ask them to find the same object or character in the Minecraft game. - Activity 2: Minecraft Vocabulary Notebook
Have the student create a Minecraft vocabulary notebook. Show them different pictures of Minecraft objects and characters and ask them to draw and label each one in their notebook. - Activity 3: Minecraft Sentence Formation
Help the student create simple sentences using Minecraft vocabulary. Start with basic sentences like "I see a creeper" or "Steve is mining". Encourage them to use the vocabulary words they have learned.
