Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to create a Valentine's Day craft by gluing torn paper inside a heart drawing.
Materials and Prep
- Construction paper in various colors
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Pencil

Activities
- Introduce the concept of Valentine's Day and explain that it is a day to show love and appreciation to others.
- Show the student examples of heart drawings and explain that they will be creating their own heart craft.
- Guide the student to draw a heart shape on a piece of construction paper using a pencil. Assist them if needed.
- Show the student how to tear small pieces of construction paper into different shapes and sizes.
- Encourage the student to use the torn paper pieces to fill the inside of their heart drawing, using the glue stick to secure them.
- Allow the student to explore and experiment with different colors and patterns of torn paper to create their unique Valentine's Day craft.
- Once the glue is dry, display and celebrate the student's finished artwork.
