- Show the student examples of mosaic art, such as pictures of ancient Roman mosaics or modern mosaic artworks.
- Guide the student in choosing a color scheme for their "Love You to Pieces" mosaic. Discuss the different emotions and meanings associated with different colors.
- Have the student draw or trace a heart shape onto a piece of construction paper using a pencil. Alternatively, they can use a printed heart template.
- Show the student how to apply glue to a small section of the heart shape.
- Encourage the student to carefully place the paper mosaic pieces onto the glued section, creating a colorful pattern.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the entire heart shape is covered with the paper mosaic pieces.
- Allow the artwork to dry completely.
- Optional: Help the student write a message or their name on the artwork to make it more personalized.
