Objective

The objective of this lesson is to help the child understand the importance of keeping their hands to themselves and develop self-control.

Materials and Prep

  • No additional materials required.
  • Make sure the child is well-rested and attentive.

Activities

  • Activity 1: Simon Says - Play a game of Simon Says where the child needs to follow instructions without using their hands. For example, "Simon says touch your nose with your elbow." This activity helps the child practice self-control and listening skills.
  • Activity 2: Sensory Exploration - Set up a sensory bin with various materials like rice, sand, or water. Encourage the child to explore the textures using their hands. Teach them that it's okay to touch certain things in specific contexts but not others.
  • Activity 3: Puppet Show - Use puppets or stuffed animals to act out scenarios where characters keep their hands to themselves. Discuss why it's important and how it makes others feel happy and safe.
