Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Sports equipment (e.g., balls, cones, jump rope, etc.)
  • Open space to move around
  • Comfortable clothing and athletic shoes
  • Water bottle for hydration

Activities

  • 1. Warm-up Jog: Start with a light jog around your designated area for 5-10 minutes to get your muscles warmed up.
  • 2. Ball Skills: Practice different ball skills such as dribbling a basketball, kicking a soccer ball, or throwing and catching a baseball. Spend 10-15 minutes on each skill.
  • 3. Jump Rope Challenge: Grab a jump rope and see how many consecutive jumps you can do without tripping. Challenge yourself to beat your previous record.
  • 4. Sports Circuit: Set up a circuit with stations for various sports activities. For example, have a station for shooting hoops, a station for kicking a ball into a target, and a station for practicing your throwing accuracy. Spend 5-10 minutes at each station.
  • 5. Cool-down Stretch: Finish the lesson with a cool-down stretch to relax your muscles and prevent any soreness. Hold each stretch for 15-30 seconds.
