Materials and Prep
- Picture book about Passover
- Colorful construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Create a Passover collage: Cut out different shapes from the construction paper and help the student glue them onto a larger piece of paper to create a collage representing elements of Passover, such as a Seder plate, matzah, and a Haggadah.
- Read a Passover story: Use the picture book to read a simple and engaging story about Passover to the student. Point out the pictures and discuss the different objects and characters in the story.
- Sing Passover songs: Teach the student simple Passover songs, such as "Dayenu" or "Frogs Jumping in Egypt." Sing the songs together and encourage the student to clap or move along with the rhythm.
