Objective
By the end of this lesson, the 3 year old student will be able to practice their coloring skills and develop an understanding of colors.
Materials and Prep
- Coloring sheets or blank paper
- Crayons or colored pencils
- A comfortable workspace
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Coloring a Rainbow: Provide the student with a coloring sheet of a rainbow and encourage them to color each arc with different colors of their choice. Discuss the colors of the rainbow as they color.
- Color Sorting: Give the student a set of crayons or colored pencils and ask them to sort them by color. Have them name each color as they sort.
- Free Drawing: Allow the student to freely draw whatever they like using the crayons or colored pencils. Encourage them to use different colors and praise their creativity.
- Coloring Patterns: Create a simple pattern using different shapes and colors on a paper. Ask the student to continue the pattern by coloring the next shape accordingly.
