Activities

  • Create a Middle East map: Using a world map or globe, have the student identify and label the countries in the Middle East.
  • Research famous landmarks: Ask the student to choose one famous landmark from the Middle East (e.g., Pyramids of Giza, Petra, Hagia Sophia) and research its history, significance, and architectural features.
  • Explore Middle Eastern cuisine: Have the student find a Middle Eastern recipe and prepare a traditional dish with adult supervision. Encourage them to learn about the ingredients and cooking techniques used in Middle Eastern cuisine.
  • Write a short story: Ask the student to imagine they are traveling through the Middle East and write a short fictional story about their adventures. Encourage them to incorporate elements of Middle Eastern culture and landmarks into their story.
