Objective

Activities

  • Activity 1: "Around the World"

    Have the student locate different countries on the map or globe. Ask them to name the capital city and a few basic phrases in the language spoken there. For example, "In France, the capital is Paris and people speak French. Bonjour means hello in French."

  • Activity 2: "Travel Journal"

    Ask the student to create a pretend travel journal. They can draw pictures or write about their imaginary trips to different countries. Encourage them to include a few interesting facts about each place they "visit."

  • Activity 3: "Historical Figures"

    Introduce the student to famous historical figures from different countries. Choose a few individuals who made significant contributions to their country's history. Have the student draw a picture of each figure and write a short description of their achievements.
