Activities

  • Create a Valentine's Day Card: Help the student fold a piece of construction paper in half to make a card. Encourage them to decorate the front with drawings, stickers, or messages of love.
  • Valentine's Day Word Search: Create a simple word search puzzle using Valentine's Day-related words like "heart," "love," "cupid," etc. Have the student find and circle the words.
  • Sing Valentine's Day Songs: Teach the student popular Valentine's Day songs like "Skidamarink" or "I Love You, You Love Me" from Barney. Sing along together and encourage them to learn the lyrics.
  • Valentine's Day Storytime: Read a Valentine's Day-themed storybook to the student, such as "The Day It Rained Hearts" by Felicia Bond or "Love from The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. Discuss the story and ask questions about the characters and events.
