Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to effectively use processes of planning, monitoring, revising, and reflecting to support and develop the composition of texts.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper
  • Pens or pencils

No specific prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.

Activities

  • Brainstorming

Start by brainstorming ideas for a composition. Write down any thoughts, keywords, or phrases that come to mind. Don't worry about organizing or editing at this stage.

  • Outline Creation

Once you have a list of ideas, create an outline for your composition. This will help you organize your thoughts and structure your writing.

  • Drafting

Using your outline as a guide, start writing your composition. Focus on getting your ideas down on paper without worrying too much about grammar or spelling.

  • Revision

After completing your first draft, take some time to review and revise your composition. Look for areas where you can improve clarity, coherence, and overall effectiveness.

  • Reflection

Finally, reflect on your writing process. What did you learn from this experience? What strategies worked well for you? How can you apply these skills to future compositions?
