Objective

By the end of this Physical Education lesson, the student will be able to demonstrate the processes of planning, monitoring, revising, and reflecting to support and develop composition of texts.

Materials and Prep

  • Writing materials (pen/pencil, paper)
  • Comfortable clothing for physical activity
  • Open space for movement

No specific knowledge or materials are required before the lesson.

Activities

  • 1. Brainstorming

    Have the student brainstorm ideas for a composition of text related to a physical activity they enjoy. Encourage them to think about their experiences, feelings, and thoughts associated with the activity.

  • 2. Planning

    Guide the student in creating a plan for their composition. Help them organize their ideas into an outline or a mind map, identifying key points they want to cover.

  • 3. Writing

    Provide the student with dedicated writing time to compose their text. Encourage them to use descriptive language, sensory details, and personal anecdotes to make their writing engaging.

  • 4. Monitoring and Revising

    Teach the student how to review their own writing and make revisions. Encourage them to check for clarity, coherence, and grammar errors. Offer guidance and feedback as needed.

  • 5. Reflecting

    After completing the composition, have the student reflect on their writing process. Ask them to identify challenges they faced, strategies they used, and areas of improvement for future compositions.
