Materials and Prep

Activities

  • Create a Valentine's Day Card: Provide the student with construction paper, scissors, and markers or crayons. Encourage them to fold the paper in half to create a card. They can then decorate the card with drawings, stickers, or by cutting out heart shapes from colored paper and gluing them onto the card.
  • Valentine's Day Vocabulary: Introduce the student to basic English vocabulary related to Valentine's Day. Show them pictures or draw simple illustrations of words such as heart, love, cupid, flowers, and chocolate. Practice saying the words together and encourage the student to repeat after you.
  • Valentine's Day Storytime: Read a Valentine's Day themed storybook to the student. Choose a book with colorful illustrations and simple sentences. After reading, ask the student questions about the story to check their understanding.
