Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to recognize and describe strategies that people use to feel comfortable, resilient, and safe in various situations.

Activities

  1. Activity: Personal Reflection

    Ask the student to reflect on a time when they felt comfortable, resilient, and safe. Encourage them to think about what strategies they used to achieve those feelings.

  2. Activity: Role Play

    Have the student choose a situation where they might feel uncomfortable, lacking resilience, or unsafe. Ask them to role-play the situation and come up with strategies they could use to improve their comfort, resilience, and safety.

  3. Activity: Creative Expression

    Invite the student to express their understanding of comfort, resilience, and safety through a creative outlet such as drawing, painting, or writing a short story. Encourage them to depict or describe strategies that can help achieve these feelings.
