Materials and Prep

• A computer or tablet with Minecraft installed
• Paper and pencil for taking notes

No prior knowledge of Minecraft is required. We will learn as we go!

Activities

• Activity 1: Counting Blocks

Explore your Minecraft world and count how many blocks you can find. Write down the number of blocks you counted.

• Activity 2: Building with Patterns

Choose a pattern you like and build it using Minecraft blocks. For example, you can create a checkerboard pattern or a staircase pattern. Count how many blocks you used for the pattern.

• Activity 3: Measuring Distances

Find two different locations in your Minecraft world and measure the distance between them. Use the blocks as a unit of measurement. Write down the distance you measured.
