Materials and Prep

  • Pen and paper
  • Your favorite toy or object
  • Prepare to talk about yourself

Activities

  1. Draw a picture of yourself and your favorite toy or object. Practice talking about the drawing and why you chose those items.

  2. Prepare a short speech introducing yourself. Include your name, age, favorite color, and something you love to do.

  3. Role-play with a family member or friend. Pretend to be a news reporter interviewing each other about yourselves.

  • Hi, my name is [Your Name]. I am 7 years old and my favorite color is [Your Favorite Color].

  • I love to [Your Favorite Activity]. It makes me happy and I have so much fun doing it.

  • This is my favorite toy/object. I chose it because [Reason Why You Like It].

  • When I grow up, I want to be a [Dream Job]. I think it would be exciting to [Reason Why You Want That Job].

  • My family is very important to me. I have [Number of Family Members] in my family and we love to [Family Activity].
