Materials and Prep

Materials needed: None

Preparation: Find a quiet and comfortable space for the activities.

Activities

1. **Breathing Exercise**: Take deep breaths in and out, counting to 4 for each breath. Repeat 5 times.

2. **Imaginary Journey**: Close your eyes and imagine yourself in a place where you feel safe and happy. Describe this place out loud.

3. **Positive Affirmations**: Repeat positive statements about yourself, like "I am brave" or "I can do hard things".

Talking Points

  • **Breathing helps us calm down**: "When we take deep breaths, it helps our bodies relax and feel better."
  • **Imagining a safe place**: "You can close your eyes and think of a place that makes you happy, like a beach or a cozy room."
  • **Positive words make us strong**: "When we say nice things about ourselves, it helps us feel confident and brave."
