  • Story Time: Create a story using at least 5 Tier 2 words. Share your story with a family member or a friend.
  • Word Art: Choose a Tier 3 word and create a colorful poster with the word, its definition, and a picture that represents it.

Talking Points

  • Tier 1 Words: "Tier 1 words are basic words that we use every day, like 'happy' and 'jump'. They are easy to understand."
  • Tier 2 Words: "Tier 2 words are a little bit more advanced. They make our sentences more interesting and colorful. An example is 'magnificent' instead of just 'good'."
  • Tier 3 Words: "Tier 3 words are very specific and usually used in certain subjects or professions. For example, 'photosynthesis' is a Tier 3 word related to plants."
  • Using Words Effectively: "When we use Tier 2 and Tier 3 words, we can explain things better and make our writing more exciting. It's like adding sprinkles to ice cream!"
