Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to improve your reading skills while exploring your interest in Legos.
Materials and Prep
- A selection of Lego-themed books
- Pen or pencil
- Blank paper
- Timer or stopwatch
Prior to the lesson, make sure you have a quiet and comfortable reading area set up.
Activities

Choose a Lego-themed book from the selection.
Read the book silently for 10 minutes.

After reading, write a short summary of what you read.
Include the main characters, setting, and a brief description of the plot.

Find a partner (a family member or friend) and take turns reading aloud to each other.
Use different voices for different characters to make it more fun!

Choose one scene from the book and draw a picture of it.
Label the characters and write a sentence or two describing what is happening.

Set a timer for 5 minutes and challenge yourself to find as many Lego-related words as you can in the book.
Write down the words you find and see if your partner can find more.
