Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to plan, create, and revise written texts for informative purposes using text features, sentence-level grammar, punctuation, and word-level language for a specific audience.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: paper, pencil, eraser

Prep: Think of a topic you want to write about and identify who your audience will be.

Activities

1. Brainstorming: Think of at least three topics that you are interested in writing about.

2. Planning: Choose one topic and create an outline with main ideas and supporting details.

3. Writing: Use your outline to write an informative text about your chosen topic.

4. Revising: Read through your text and make any necessary corrections or improvements.
