Materials and Prep
Materials needed: Bow, arrows, target, armguard, finger tab, and a safe shooting area.
Prep: Ensure the area is clear of obstacles and have a responsible adult present for supervision.
Activities
- 1. Stance and Posture: Practice standing correctly with feet shoulder-width apart and body perpendicular to the target. Remember to keep a relaxed posture.
- 2. Nocking and Drawing: Learn how to nock the arrow on the bowstring and draw the string back to anchor point near your face or chin.
- 3. Aiming and Release: Focus on aiming at the target and smoothly release the string while maintaining your aim.
- 4. Target Practice: Take aim at the target and shoot several arrows, adjusting your technique with each shot to improve accuracy.
