Materials and Prep

Activities

  • Water Play: Start by getting comfortable in the water. Splash around, blow bubbles, and play games like "Simon Says" in the water.
  • Kicking Practice: Hold onto the pool edge and practice kicking your legs like a mermaid or a shark. See how fast you can go!
  • Arm Movements: Practice arm movements like windmills or scooping the water to move forward. Imagine you are a superhero flying through the water!
  • Float on Your Back: Try floating on your back with support from an adult. Relax and look up at the sky like a starfish.
