No prior knowledge is required for this lesson.
Activities
-
Brainstorming Star Wars Characters:
Discuss with the student their favorite Star Wars characters and write them down on a piece of paper. Encourage the student to think of both heroes and villains.
-
Creating a Story Plot:
Ask the student to choose a hero and a villain from their list of characters. Help them come up with a conflict between the two characters and write it down. For example, the hero might be trying to retrieve a stolen lightsaber from the villain.
-
Writing the Story:
Guide the student in writing a short story based on the chosen conflict. Encourage them to include a beginning, middle, and end. Remind them to use descriptive words and to make the story exciting.
-
Illustrating the Story:
After completing the story, have the student illustrate it using pencils or crayons. Encourage them to depict the characters and key moments from their story.
